FAQs
Why have you taken the time and effort to create this site?
That is simple. I do not want anyone else to fall victim to these snake oil salesmen. If this site prevents other technology professionals (or anyone for that matter) from being screwed over the way I was, it was time well spent. I cannot even begin to tell you all the frustration and grief I put up with while I was there, all to achieve a goal that was never possible from day one. It was just snake oil. It was a lie so that I would work for them and resolve their numerous and vast technology issues. I kept my end of the deal, they did not, and they never intended to.
Besides, I feel it is our responsibility to warn others of pending danger. In this case the danger is to your career.
Do you have websites regarding other places you have worked?
Nope. I have worked at/for some excellent companies during my career. Microsoft, Weyerhaeuser, Aqua Star, just to name a few. All positive experiences. I also worked for a few companies where the experience was a bit less positive. Nothing like Spiration, they are in a class of their own. To the extent that I felt I would be remiss not to warn others of the pending peril. Think of it this way, how bad would a company have to screw you over for you to invest the time and effort to create a site like this?
Why don't you just use company review sites like Glassdoor.com, indeed.com, etc.?
Not all company review sites are created equal. Glassdoor.com is by far the best, and the most accurate. Other sites, like Indeed.com, do not always provide an accurate picture of a company because they filter out reviews that are less than positive. Main thing is that review space is limited and formatted. I wanted a freeform site to provide as much detail as possible.
Will you post my story on your site?
Sorry, this site is just for my story/experience, and to warn others away from the company so they do not damage their careers. I recommend that you post your review to Glassdoor.com
Do you think you will ever change your "avoid this company like the plague" recommendation, or take this site down?
As I mentioned previously, the issue with Spiration is the current management, and not the company itself. I would love to see Spiration flourish and succeed. Their product helps people, and that is a good thing. It is just unfortunate that the current management is untrustworthy, unethical, and 100% focused on their own agenda rather than the company's success. Before I would ever recommend anyone even consider employment at this company, corrective action would be required by Spiration's parent company, Olympus.
The corrective action I speak of is:
- The involuntary employment termination of Greg Sessler, CEO of Spiration.
- The involuntary employment termination of Craig Eudy, Executive Director of Finance at Spiration.
These are the leaders at Spiration who screwed me over, and probably countless others as well. Until these untrustworthy, ethically-challenged leaders are out of the picture, I will keep this site up and get the word out to as many people as possible that they should avoid any and all employment "opportunities" at this company.
The termination must be involuntary. There needs to be a mark on their record that prevents them from just going to another company, obtain a leadership position, and then screwing over employees at the new company. These two should never be allowed to be in a leadership position again.
